He came, sang and had the unique chance to put his hand on an AMG engine! During his concert tour, Mike Shinoda stopped by in Affalterbach. Under direction, he built parts of a Mercedes-AMG V8 biturbo engine himself.

Whilst on his Posttraumatic concert tour through Europe, Mike Shinoda took a detour trip to Affalterbach. That meant for him an eight and a half hour journey by tour bus. Before he performed in Ludwigsburg in the evening, he set up an AMG V8 biturbo engine in Affalterbach, which is installed in the GT 63 S 4-door coupé, under the direction of Master-Mechanic Lars Laukenmann.

Before he was able to sign his own "One Man - One Engine" badge, Mike had to get to work in the engine factory. First he inserted the oil spray nozzles by hand, then he screwed them together with the pneumatic screwdriver. Then followed the lower bearing shell, which he inserted and oiled. He also installed the crankshaft by hand. He fastened the main bearing bridges with a total of 30 screws. The eight pistons followed, which he first oiled, then inserted and screwed in one after the other. When he cranked up the engine, the eight cylinders moved, which was celebrated with a rain of gold confetti. There was also time for a group photo with the engine builders. In the showroom Mike clicked through the One display and talked about the Mercedes-AMG he had configured.

At the end of the day, Mike himself delivered the big hit with his concert in the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg, which was attended by around 300 Mercedes-AMG employees. It was a great show on a minimalist stage.
