For the first time, the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension of these models is based on multi-chamber air suspension with automatic level control. This is combined with electronically-controlled adaptive damping adjustment: seamless control valves mounted outside the shock absorbers that adapt the damping force more precisely than ever to different driving conditions and the selected drive programme.

Developments from Formula 1 and Affalterbach: the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE has a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine combined with a permanently revved synchronous electric motor and a high-performance battery. The electric motor delivers its power directly to the rear axle – without delay and without being limited by the combustion engine’s transmission. As is typical for this type of vehicle, the electric motor delivers full torque for pure power release from zero seconds. And for longitudinal dynamics that are second to none.
This drive makes the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE the most powerful series model to come out of Affalterbach. Its motorsport genes completely redefine performance: maximum system torque of 900 Nm and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
Sound
Make yourself heard
The sound buttons in the centre console or on the steering wheel let you choose between “Balanced” and “Powerful”. When the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE is driven purely electrically, either a discreet or a powerful background sound is emitted. When the combustion engine kicks in, the selected setting influences the sound of the flap-controlled exhaust system – delivering exactly the roar you expect from an AMG.

So untermauert beim Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE das expressive Design mit der tief heruntergezogenen Motorhaube, dem muskulösen Körper, dem geduckten Greenhouse und kraftvollen Fastback die Performance des viertürigen Hybriden. Exklusives Erkennungsmerkmal der neuen Antriebstechnologie ist hierbei die eigens gestaltete Heckschürze mit integrierter Plug-in-Ladeklappe und rot hinterlegter Modellbezeichnung. Und auf der Seite weist die Kotflügel-Plakette „E Performance” auf den Hybrid-Antrieb hin.

Or with the impressive AMG performance steering wheel in double-spoke design with round AMG steering wheel buttons, brilliant displays and perfect operating logic for intuitive control of all important driving functions and drive programmes. In the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE, you can also select one of the four different recuperation stages of the hybrid.
