We have given the characterful AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo a boost with the motorsport technology-based P3 Hybrid System. Together, the two not only offer a power delivery that is second to none. The hybrid system enables breathtaking acceleration as well as near-silent, comfortable cruising in purely electric mode. The AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension and the rear-axle steering play a supporting role here.
Buttons are used to select the various driving programmes. For example, you can unleash the full power of the plug-in hybrid via Sport + mode and switch back to another mode at any time. You have the reins in your hands. But you can also simply release them.

With the P3 Hybrid System, we have gone several steps further, and set the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo on the perfect line with a high-performance electric motor. The system, which sits on the rear axle, is supplied with the necessary energy by a high-performance battery and, all in all, guarantees overwhelming performance, without sacrificing the characteristics of an S-Class.
Because whether you're driving through the city centre with zero emissions and zero noise or seamlessly starting from pole position with 0 to 100 in 3.3 seconds – the driving programmes selectable via AMG DYNAMIC SELECT skilfully master the balancing act between unconditional comfort and innovative performance. Quite typical of AMG.
