The perfect symbiosis of power and dynamics: With its impressive shape and elegant lines, the Mercedes-AMG GLE SUV is an absolute eye-catcher. New bumpers and the new AMG emblem on the bonnet underline the performance soul of the off-roader, while the new headlamp and rear lamp signets and the AMG logo projector make a premium statement. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ SUV also features a newly developed front spoiler. The imposing impression is rounded off by the standard panoramic sunroof and the iconic AMG brake callipers in bronze.

Unique combination
The new Mercedes-AMG 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ adopts the numerous design and equipment changes to the conventionally powered GLE models. In addition, the plug-in hybrid can be recognised by special design elements inside and out. The cooling air inflow integrated into the centre of the front guard is open, as an additional nose cooler is located here. Hybrid-specific badges on the front fenders and rear indicate the electrified drive.
The basis for the sporty driving experience is the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo engine. The in-line six-cylinder is combined with a 125-kW electric motor, a traction battery with 31.2 kWh capacity and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The system output of 400 kW (544 hp) and the maximum system torque of 750 Nm enable impressive driving performance.

The MANUFAKTUR customisation options take the Mercedes-AMG GLE to a new level of exclusivity. On the outside, a selection of elegant paint finishes, including the radiant MANUFAKTUR opalite white bright, ensures an unmistakable appearance. In the interior, luxurious nappa leather in elegant colour variants such as MANUFAKTUR yacht blue sets stylish accents. Embroidered AMG lettering on the MANUFAKTUR headrest cushions and illuminated door sill trims with AMG lettering impressively round off the design.

From 0 to 100 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of up to 280 km/h: The SUV models are not just AMG in name only. This is made possible by genuine masterpieces of engineering. Under the bonnet of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ SUV is a 3.0-litre R6 turbo engine that makes a clear performance statement. This is only surpassed by the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63S 4MATIC SUV. The new models, which are manufactured according to the "one man, one engine" principle, now receive additional power from the 48-volt electrical system. Thanks to the switchable AMG performance exhaust system fitted as standard, you can not only feel the power of the off-roader, but also hear it.
Driving sensation

Thanks to the Mercedes-AMG GLE SUV, there are no limits to your thirst for adventure. The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive gives you exactly the grip you need on any surface. Additional stabilisation is provided by the ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension for full control even on winding roads. The nine gears of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G automatic transmission with intermediate throttle function and the intelligent driving programmes of the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT for optimum grip on loose paths (Trail) and sandy ground (Sand), particularly relaxed driving (Comfort) and maximum power (Sport+) ensure even more dynamic driving pleasure.
In addition to the well-known driving programmes there are two hybrid-specific driving programmes in the new Mercedes-AMG 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+. With “Electric”, purely electric driving takes place from a standstill up to 140 km/h. In the “Battery Hold” driving programme, the combustion engine and electric motor run at a maximum boost of around 25 percent, as in the “Comfort” driving programme.
